Description
The Avocets are an important part of the birdlife that I paint looking out on a local shallow bay surrounded by grazed meadows. Like few other birds they succeed in reflecting the intense light and colours of dusk and dawn, accentuated by their elegant dark pattern. I always return to these mysteriously beautiful birds. The lithograph was included in a portfolio called Strandspegling (Shoreline reflexion)
