Description
An adult white-phased Gyrfalcon with its prey, a Ptarmigan. This light Gyrfalcon comes from Greenland, and they are often named Greenland falcons. Light-phased Gyr falcons can also be found in northeastern Canada and northeastern Siberia. The painting was part of the Wild 100-exhibition in September 2014 at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, WY. It was also exhibited at the Museum Lars Jonsson during the summer of 2014 and depicted on this years poster for the museum.
